    Hi!

I am wondering if anybody can help me. My family and I have moved to Overijssel 3 months ago from Ireland for my husband's work and we don't speak a word of Dutch. I am in the early stages of pregnancy with some immunity issues, we are over the moon right now, but at the same time very worried. I have lost 6 pregnancys in the past and I'm now on progesterone, clexin, aspirin and steroids to prevent a miscarriage. We had an excellent fertility consultant when we lived in Dublin, who suggested an intralipid drip every two weeks to help with killer cells. The only successful pregnancy I had involved regular intralipids. But the problem now is that we can't find anyone in Holland, who does this. I'm sure there is someone but not knowing where to look and not speaking the language is a big problem in our search. I am desperately trying to find any information about clinics that can do this treatment but with no luck so far.

I would be so very gratful if anybody knows a place in the Netherlands or Germany I can get intralipids done.

    Thanks,

    Anastasia

    Hi Anastacia,

Can´t you just make an appointment with a gynecologist, through your gp, in a hospital nearby to explain the treatment you used to have in Ireland.

Maybe this way you can be informed about the possibilities in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany.
I am sure the specialists in the dutch hospitals speak english.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and wishing you all the best.

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

For immunology issues, most visit dr Pfeiffer in Germany. His website is
Labor Benrath für Hormon- und infektionsserologische Diagnostik in Düsseldorf
He can also help you to get an Intralipid.

Alternatively, you can call one of the German practices yourself. I've been to this one:
    Dr Fliegner
    Solinger strasse 48
    40764 Langenfeld
    +49 2173 989200
They have intralipids on stock :)

Hey guys, thanks so very much for so many responses. I apologize for writing in English, but we only moved here and my Dutch is very poor. I will do all the suggested above and hopefully something will for us out.
    Thanks again for your help,

    ;)

I don't know a doctor who does that, but I think this would be your regular trajectory in the Netherlands:
    - visit your general physician (do you have one already? If not, call the nearby doctor's office and register there)
    - explain your previous treatment, and what you need from him/her (a referral to the hospital/ gynaecologist)
    - call the hospital with your referral and make an appointment in which you discuss your previous treatment (do you have paperwork of it? That might help)
    - if the gynaecologist cannot treat you him-/herself they will probably know who to call or where to look for treatment.

Depending on your insurance you can perhaps check in with a gynaecologist abroad, e.g. Germany, but if you have Dutch health insurance this might not be reimbursed.

Hope this is of any help to you, a quick way around all this might be to check in with your doctor back home in Ireland and see what he/she knows.

Welcome in the Netherlands, by the way, and best of luck on your pregnancy!
