    Hello everyone.
I’m sorry for not being able to write in Dutch. But I can translate your answers.:)
I have just moved from UK to Netherlands. I am 20 weeks pregnant and have not yet had my appt with verloskundige.
I’ve had my first son 15 months ago which ended in emergency casaerean section. Had a very long non progressive labour even after 12 hours of being induced I ended up with only 2cm dilation. However prior to that i spent another 52 hours in the hospital with my broken waters and no signs of baby wanting to come out. Females in my family also had very non pleasant birthing experiences and most ended up with EMCS. So now I would absolutely want to have a planned c section for variety of reasons. I have no desire whatsoever to attempt VBAC.
Please can anyone tell me if it will be possible for me here to request for a c section to be sheduled if I absolutely don’t want to try VBAC?
I am stressing too much and can’t sleep thinking about wether I’ll be given a right to choose. :(

if you are pregnant for 20 weeks I definitely advise you to contact a midwifes office. you can get an ultra sound and specially the 20 weeks ultra sound where they check every little details like open back and so on..
and they can indeed allow you to get a planned c section if you had one already!

    welcome to the Netherlands :)
    ans congratulations on you pregnancy

Yes you can definetly opt for a Planned c-section. Just make sure to tel your midwife and she’ll send you to a gyneacologist to talk about your options.
